Our tile guys have finally started laying the tiles we chose for upstairs and down, and then the painters will be going in for some custom colors. I will be updating photos once they are done. and then again on moving day. etc etc.

It's all very exciting we have already ordered all our furniture so much to do but so much fun doing it. : )

One more day..

Its just one more day till we close on the house, And hubby and I are excited about getting the keys. Everything is ready we just have to do our final walk thru and pick up the keys. Of course we still have to wait for our tile guy. our painters and carpenter to finish after that.

But our home is complete and we cant wait to move in : )

We have lights now outside the house as well they still have to plant outside the house in front and more on sides but its coming along. dont cha think. if you look close you can see a bit of the moutains behind the house peeking out. we have spectacular views of them from the second floor. my car is on right of photo parked by the pool entrance so you can see we are rather close to it

NEARING COMPLETION

The house should be ready end of this month but we then have to wait for inspections and our walk thru. here is an updated photo from today of the house.. the driveway is done. the landscaping out front and on sides is almost in, We are getting very excited.

Updates

Well no new photos as we arent going to see the house till Saturday. but we did get our walk thru date after that we should close within a day or two. X crossing fingers then the tile guy will have to go in and rip out the carpet that went in and redo the house in tile upstairs and down we are only leaving carpet on the staircase. and of course our Painters will have to go in and paint the rooms etc in the colors we are choosing. All said and done we should be spending our first nites in the house sometime Mid Dec. I had hoped to have Christmas at our new home but it doesnt look like its going to be possible its far to close from moving in till then to plan a party Im afraid.

But we will spend our very first Christmas in our very own home. How exciting is that..

The side view of the house taken today. its coming along all the places are ready for the concrete drives and walkways to go in. we have shutters on the front and back now and the house is finally locked up now so we have to get a key when we want to go peek inside.. landscaping I suspect they will do on sides and in front of house when driveways and walks are completed. no two houses are alike in that respect they each have there own landcape which sets them aside from the rest. I know we will have a big grassy area between the neighbors house and ours that leads up the gates of each yard. and landscaping along the side of the house and out front. Cant wait to do the walk thru.

The Master bath

We went to see the house again this weekend. and found our Master bathroom has it's tiles installed. I had forgot how lovely the tumbled marble we picked out was. our sink has this on its counter as well as around the tub itself.

All is well

Checked on the new home yesterday, all is well we didnt even see or smell smoke.. YAH! Oct here we come.

Fighting the Guiberson Fire near Moorpark

Kudos to the fire dept , these guys put there lives on the line to fight Ca wildfires without these brave men I cant imagine the damage that would take place to homes and livestock , They have managed to get it 40 percent contained in two short days. This one threatened our area but I am happy to report it is now under control and our home is in no danger.

Sept brings

Sept brings our house nearing completion well there is still a month or more to go but its all coming together rather quickly.. the heaters are going in . the shutters are being delivered and getting ready to go up. the Master bathroom has been tiled. the cabinets are up . there working amazinly fast. SOON SOON I CAN HARDLY WAIT ..

Our fountain is waiting for us

Our fountain has the sweetest sound to it. The store we purchased it from has hundreds of fountains all going at once so you really have to listen good to hear the sounds of each when deciding. its almost like musical notes. if you listen good.

He's looking foward to getting in that yard and running up and down the stairs.. Oh and hes getting a little play mate companion as well once we are in.

Another photo taken of the house today. we missed going up last weekend but this weekend we got a surprise as the house has its color and the walls inside have gotten there first coat of paint YAH were getting there.

WE HAVE COLOR

We missed a weekend but went up today and found we have a color to the house now and walls inside have been painted there first coat. Some of the others have there cabinets in kitchen already installed which means our cabinets will be sometime this coming week. its coming along at a rather fast rate which suits us just fine as we cant wait to move in .

Just a photo of Brett this time in his come hither look. ha ha. We are headed to the house tomorrow to see how its coming along. and meet up with our landscaper to go over details of yard and how we want it be. We also picked out our tiles called Kulture in a woodland blend of three color tiles. we are doing the whole house tile floors upstairs and downstairs omitting the staircase which we will leave carpet . going to be nice not having carpeting .

Yard.

This yard is the model 3 one its 40 long and 14 wide.. Our yard is bigger at 50 long and 17 1/2 wide but its similar so thought I would share it.. I think we are going to do something similar yet different there will be a fountain out from where the glass doors face and tree planted in the middle of the grass with a space around edges for shrubs and such.. Not everyone has the same taste I rather like the flow of a spacious yard. and NO I will not have a picnic table lol
